Clermont Yard Debris Haul Out in a Pickup Load
Soil looks harmless until you try to lift it. The pickup bed in this photo holds dark, crumbly dirt, a scatter of oak branches, and a folded green bulk bag on top. The load looks small. It is much heavier than it looks.
Champs Dumpster Rental and Junk Removal hauled this from a Clermont driveway. It was not a mountain of debris, just yard soil and oak trimmings that were too heavy and awkward for a trash can or a car trunk. The soil went in first and the bag went on top, so nothing could blow out on the road.
A pickup was the right tool, because this was a weight job and not a volume job. A dump trailer or roll off is built for volume. A truck bed gets one clean load out of the driveway without parking a container on the lot.
Our Commitment to Customers
After the haul, the concrete driveway is swept and the curb is clear. A few small twigs and the ball of a trailer hitch sit in the corner of the frame, and nothing else suggests soil was ever there. It is a small thing, but a swept drive is what tells a neighbor the job is done.
Soil is messy, and a crew that leaves a trail of dirt down a driveway has not finished. We load, sweep up what fell, and check the curb, the apron, and the grass edge before we leave. It takes a couple of minutes, and it is the part customers remember.
Our yard debris pickup page covers what we take. If palms are part of your cleanup, our palm tree trimming in Clermont project shows a related job nearby.
Why Is Soil So Heavy to Haul?
Because dirt is dense. A cubic yard of dry soil weighs a ton or more, and wet soil weighs more than that. A bulk bag can hold more than one person can lift, and a pickup bed of soil can sit close to the limit for a half ton truck.
That is why soil is handled differently from regular yard waste. Leaves and branches are bulky and light. Dirt, sod, and sand are small and heavy. Treat them the same and you end up with a flat tire or a bent axle.
Tell us what is in the pile. If it is mostly organic yard waste, a pickup load is fine. If it is soil, we may plan a lighter load or a second trip, because an extra trip beats an overloaded truck on the road. A photo of the pile helps. Soil and mulch can look alike in a picture, so a quick note on what it is saves a second trip.
Is Yard Debris Pickup Cheaper Than a Dumpster?
For small jobs, often yes. One pile, one bag, or a few loads of branches costs less as a pickup than as a container sitting for several days. A dumpster makes sense when you will be working for a week and want to toss debris as it comes. A pickup makes sense when the work is finished and the pile is waiting.
Our junk pricing guide shows how we price by truck space, and our dumpster rental in Clermont page lists the container sizes. We will tell you which one fits when you call, even when the smaller ticket is the better choice for you.
Clermont's hills add a wrinkle. Sugarloaf Mountain rises 312 feet, and the land around Lake Minneola slopes enough that plenty of yards have real grade. A sloped driveway changes where a truck can park safely and how far a bag has to be carried, so mention the grade when you book.
